|Greener Futures for Young People
Basta has the last year participated in the one-year project “Greener Futures for Young People” together with social organisations in Spain, France and the UK.
What is the project “Greener Futures for Young people” about?
Greener Futures for Young People is a transnational partnership project part-funded by DG Employment & Social Affairs. It is part of the Progress Programme, “Transfer of Good Practice” strand, which promotes projects designed to tackle all forms of inequality and social exclusion as well as those creating pathways to employment and training.
Each organisation has used its particular strength as the focus for information and innovation transfer across the partnership. Key ingredients of the partnership are Empowerment, Social Franchising, Community Integration and raising the profile of the Not for Profit Sector. Each country has also hosted an important seminar to promote its work and the work of its partners.
What is PROGRESS?
PROGRESS is the EU’s employment and social solidarity programme, set up to provide financial support for the attainment of the European Union’s objectives in employment, social affairs and equal opportunities as set out in the Social Agenda. The realisation of the Social Agenda relies on a combination of instruments comprising EU legislation, the implementation of open methods of coordination in various policy fields and financial incentives such as the European Social Fund.
